Audit Trail Filtering |
Top Previous Next |
Viewing the Audit Trail is most useful if it's filtered for specific entries you're looking for. Of course if you only need entries for a particular reservation, for instance, then you should start by going to the Reservation Details of that reservation, and use the Audit Trail button there. Then it will be restricted to entries affecting that reservation.
Additional filtering is done through the Audit Trail dialog through the "More Filters" button. This allows filtering one or more aspects as described below. Note that if more than one aspect (selection list) is filtered, only entries matching ALL of the aspects will be shown.
Entry type(s) - Select one or more Audit trail entry types to view.
Record type(s) - Select one or more Record types to view. While all record types are shown here, most will not have entries (e.g. those related to setup and configuration functions, not day-to-day usage, do not generate audit trail entries).
Operator(s) - Select one or more Operators to view. Note that this list only includes current operator records, showing their current Operator Code. If an operator is selected here whose Operator Code has since been changed (for the given operator record), then entries related to that operator record are still shown. Therefore it's important not to re-use operator records for a different employee later.
Other Operator -- You can also enter an operator's code in this field, for instance to search for entries by an operator who has already been deleted from the system.
Workstation(s) -- If you network multiple computers, you can select one or more workstations here.
Text Filtering -- Click this button to set up a text search so it only include Audit trail entries that have certain text. Optionally it can even search the records related to the audit trail entry. See Text Filtering for details.
